Berkeley CEQA Case Law Update

This case law update is designed to help consultants, regulators, applicants, and industry professionals stay current on legal trends and key topics affecting the application of CEQA law and guidelines. Mr. Jim Moose will discuss recent important CEQA legal decisions and their implications on environmental planning practice.

Mr. Moose is a senior partner at Remy Moose Manley LLP. His practice focuses on land use, water, and environmental matters, with an emphasis on issues arising under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the State Planning and Zoning Law, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act, the California Endangered Species Act, and other relevant land use and environmental statutes. He represents public agencies, project proponents, consulting firms, non-profit organizations, and individuals. He handles all phases of the land use entitlement process and permitting processes, including administrative approvals and litigation. These one-day workshop provides a basic understanding of the fundamentals of the California Environmental Quality Act and the State Guidelines, and includes intermediate-level practice pointers and case studies. This workshop features a curriculum developed specifically for people involved in the environmental review process, including consultants, regulators, applicants, or industry professionals, and will benefit those new to the field as well as mid-level practicing professionals (AICP-CM credits pending).
